Microsoft Security Essentialsベータ と WHS V1／Vail で、現在公開されているMicrosoft Security Essentials(MSE) 2 のベータ版が Vail や WHS V1でインストール出来ることをご紹介しました。
WGSのフォーラムの中で、マイクロソフトのWindows Home and Small Business (HSBS)開発チーム のグループプログラムマネージャーである Levidow さんがコメントを表明しています。
“Installing Microsoft Security Essentials (MSE) Beta on Windows Home Server is not supported at this time. As MSE is in Beta, the Windows Home Server team is in the process of ensuring the use of MSE with Windows Home Server will meet customer expectations. We will release a statement of support once the validation is complete, when we are confident that this combination will meet customer expectations.”
これによれば、現在WHS上でMSEが正しく動作するかを検証／評価している段階にあり、それが確認出来ればMSEのWHSサポートを正式に表明するという内容のようです。
WHSにMicrosoft Security Essentials をインストール出来るようにして欲しいという要望は、実はConncect 上でもっとも支持を受けている要望の一つだったりします。MSEがWHSをサポートする日がそう遠くないうちにやってくるかもしれません。
