Add-in Update:Public Beta of Service Pack 2 for Lights-Out

Windows Home Server 必携のアドイン、Lights-Outに新しいPublic Betaがリリースされました。

主な変更点

[WHS2011のみ]クライアントコンピューターのIPアドレスおよびMACアドレスの検出方法を改善

Lights-Out for WHS2011では、WHSクライアントコンピューターのIPアドレスをコンピューター名から逆引き、MACアドレスをARPパケットから取得していたが、信頼性に欠ける場合があったため、IPアドレスとMACアドレスをLights-Outクライアントソフトが取得して伝送するように変更。

ゲートウェイ（ルーター）やリピーターハブが間に存在する場合の動作を改善

ルーターやリピーター、VPNゲートウェイを介して接続されるWHSクライアントコンピューターは、ゲートウェイのIPアドレスが返ってきてしまうためLights-Outのネットワークスキャナーから見つけられなかった。また手動で追加した固定IPクライアントもLights-OutがIPアドレスの競合や変更を誤って検知し、IPアドレスを 0.0.0.0に変更してしまう問題があった。
SP2では、
・手動で追加したデバイスについては”固定IPフラグ”を内部的に保持し、IPアドレスを書き換えないようにすること
・ルーターやリピーター、VPNゲートウェイを示す新たなフラグをもうけ、手動で追加した固定IPクライアントの取り扱いに影響を及ぼさないようにした

標準のアクションに、[ユーザー動作]を追加

標準のアクションに、ユーザーが任意のコマンドやバッチファイルを実行出来る[ユーザー動作]が追加されました。ユーザーが任意のアクションを実行させることが出来ます。ただし、コマンドやバッチファイルの最後にはスタンバイ（スリープや休止）またはシャットダウン動作が含まれている必要があります。言い換えると、スタンバイ（スリープや休止）またはシャットダウンに移行する際に、任意のアクションを実行させることが出来るようになったといえます。

スタンバイ（スリープや休止）またはシャットダウンを実行させる場合には、shutdown.exe や Sysinternals Suiteで公開されているpsshutdownを利用することが出来ます。
